The designation of MASTER CERTIFIED PICTURE FRAMER is
awarded by the Professional Picture Framers Association
(PPFA) and signifies that a framer has demonstrated superior
framing skills and has passed the industry's most
comprehenisive test of practical preservation and framing
knowledge.
PPFA initiated the MCPF program in 2003 to raise the standards
of the framing profession, improve education within the
industry, and recognize those framers who prove, through
written examination and practical demonstration, acceptable
knowledge of established professional criteria and
outstanding ability to properly identify and preservation frame
artwork.
Meghan MacMillan took and passed the test to become a Master
Certified Picture Framer in March of 2007. Currently there
are only 39 framers worldwide who have achieved MCPF status.
